The Stables is situated on the Hartland Peninsular, designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty in North Devon. It is a short drive from the North Cornwall border.

The South West Coast path, www.southwestcoastpath.com, is 5 minutes drive with stunning views and beautiful bays for walking and picnicking. The uniquely charming fishing village of Clovelly, www.clovelly.co.uk, is under 2 miles away and the dramatic backdrop of Hartland Quay a 10 minute drive.

Beautiful stretches of sandy beaches at Westward Ho! Sandymouth and Bude provide great surfing and a great base for exploring. Further afield are the stunning beaches of Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe in North Devon or Trebarwith Strand and Polzeath in North Cornwall.
There are numerous other lovely spots to enjoy including Crackington Haven, Boscastle and Tintagel which are all accessible from this great location.
